The Hunterdon County Health Department is partnering with the NJ Commission for the Blind
and Visually Impaired (CBVI) to provide FREE eye screening for low income and uninsured
individuals.
This service will be offered MONTHLY at the Hunterdon County Health Department, with the
first clinic scheduled for Thursday, May 25th. Appointments are required.
Hunterdon County Board Commissioner, Shaun Van Doren, who also serves as the liaison to the Health Department shared, “ This free eye screening is a great opportunity for residents to
access health benefits that they might not otherwise be available due to lack of insurance
coverage or because of economic limitations.
I would like to thank Karen DeMarco and her staff; they are to be commended for their hard
work and continued dedication to the community. Identifying a need and then providing a
service that greatly benefits residents is what makes Hunterdon County the safest, best, and
healthiest place to live and work .”
