Health Department To Distribute Free At Home Covid Test Kits In Hunterdon

Residents Can Pick Up Kits At Route 12 Complex In Raritan Township

July 20th, 2 to 7 pm

The Hunterdon County Health Department will be again distributing free at home COVID-19 test kits on July 20th, from 2 to 7 pm, at the Route 12 County Complex in Raritan Township, Commissioner Shaun C. Van Doren announced at the July 5th Commissioner Board meeting.

Van Doren, the Hunterdon Board’s liaison to the Health Department, reported, “In order to continue to provide testing resources to the public, with the close of the County’s Covid-19 Test Clinic on Reaville Avenue in Flemington, the Health Department will distribute PCR and rapid test kits, as supplies last, at the Route 12 Complex on July 13th and 20th.

More distribution dates will be added if the demand is there.”

Van Doren said, “The County Covid-19 Test Clinic was most successful, having administered over 8000 tests from when it opened on February 3rd. The clinic was valued particularly by those who needed test results for work, travel and school.

The health team will keep a close eye on covid-19 infections data and, should there be a need to establish a clinic again, the Department will be prepared to do so.”

Van Doren pointed out that at home test kits are also available at Walgreens, CVS, and Rite Aid pharmacies in the area.
