Given the new health directives for outside events under the Governor’s executive orders, the county Health Department has approved a plan by the Parks Division to move the concerts in the park series back to Deer Path park.
The concert series will no longer be drive in, as families and friends may again bring chairs and blankets to enjoy the music. Social distancing and other health protocols will still be observed. And the whatever the current mask rules are at the time will be followed.
Presently for outdoor activity individuals do not need to wear a mask, but still should observe social distancing.
By holding the four concerts planned for 2021 at Deer Path park, it is believed that venue will serve larger crowds.
The schedule for the free concerts in the park series, which has always been very popular, is June 17, July 8, July 22, and August 5.
Movies in the park will still be held as drive in movies at South County park later in the summer.
