Updated: Jul 20, 2021
The Hunterdon County Library will be returning to a full schedule, welcoming patrons back for evenings, at the Main, North and South County branches, on June 1st, Hunterdon County Commissioner Zachary T. Rich announced at the May 4th meeting.
Commissioner Rich, Hunterdon County Library Commission liaison, said, “The Library, for the first time since 2010, will also be open on Monday nights at both Main and North County branches. I have been advised by the Library’s Director, James Keehbler, that returning to Monday night service has been a goal for which the Library team had planned for a while but was interrupted by the pandemic.”
Making a return to the library, newspapers and periodicals will be back on the shelves for the reading pleasure of patrons on June 1st as well.
Library Director James Keehbler said, “The Hunterdon County Library Commission and staff are very excited to not only restore our previous pre-pandemic schedule, but also adding Monday night service for both Headquarters Library and North County Branch. We are all looking forward to returning to our regular schedule and resuming ‘normal’ library activity in the coming months.”
Starting June 1, the hours of service for the North County and Main Branches will be Monday through Thursday, 9am to 9pm and Friday and Saturday, 9am to 5pm.
At the South County branch, Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday hours are 9am to 5pm and Tuesday and Wednesday, 9am to 9pm.
