Vaccination Update From the Hunterdon County Health Department

Updated: Jul 20, 2021

Commissioner Shaun Van Doren

As we all recall, earlier in the year we saw a tremendous demand for vaccinations here in the County. At one point 61,000 individuals attempted to sign up for the drive through vaccination appointment waiting list, when the County was only receiving 500 vaccine doses per week from the state. Today the demand for vaccinations is substantially reduced.

The Health Department’s vaccination clinic now accepts walk ins, no appointment is necessary. The Department has also moved from the drive in vaccination site, which proved itself to be extremely efficient thanks to the excellent work of the clinic team of professionals and volunteers, to providing vaccinations at the at the Assembly Space on the 1st floor of Building 1, at the Route 12 County Complex in Raritan Township.

Vaccinations are available on June 17 and June 24 between 10am and 2pm and on June 22nd between 4 and 7 pm. The Department’s clinic has administered over 18,000 vaccinations. Further, the reports from the Health Department indicate county COVID-19 positives has dropped to the single digits daily, including one recent day when there were zero cases reported.
